French-born Ariane Lallemand has performed as soloist with numerous orchestras in Europe and New York, as well as in many solo recitals, including Alice Tully Hall and Merkin Concert Hall, L'Eglise des Penitents in France and the Kaufhaussaal series in Germany. She has also been featured often as soloist on both the Young Artist Showcase on WQXR-FM and on WNYC, New York City. Ariane has been a prizewinner in the Epernay Cello Competition and the Cologne Sonata Competition. She has also won the UFAM competition in Paris, the Mendelssohn Competition in Germany, the Mannes Concerto Competition and the prestigious "Bourse Lavoisier" from the French Ministry of Culture. As an orchestral musician, she has played under the batons of Bernard Haitink, Kurt Masur, Carlo Maria Giulini, Vladimir Ashkenazy and Mstislav Rostropovitch. Ms. Lallemand has been regularly invited by Pierre Boulez to perform with the Ensemble Intercontemporain in many countries and is a regular guest of the the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris and the Orchestre de Paris. In the U.S., she plays with the Orchestra of St Luke's, the Eos Orchestra and the SEM and the Absolute Ensembles.
